Unknown/Uncataloged: Korean Cards

This post will show all of the Korean cards I have which I can not identify. This is intended to be a permanent post, updated as cards are added or subtracted.
Card size: 2-7/16"W x 1-13/16"H. Very thin, might be for a sticker book. Player is Han Dae-hwa, pictured here with the OB Bears. He played with the Bears 1983-1985, which means this card was issued sometime during those years. He is listed on the back as a shortstop, which means this is early in his career, as he eventually moved to third base. However, I don't know if he moved to third while he was with the Bears or once he moved to the Tigers in 1986. The box on the front has his jersey number, followed by position, name, and team name in parentheses. There is also a facsimile autograph over the photo. The blue text on back lists his date of birth, place of birth, current residence, height and weight, batting and throwing arms, and schools. The bottom asks "What is 'good luck'?"
Card size: 1-29/32"W x 1-25/32"H. Card is somewhat off-center so these might be approximate sizes. Very thin glossy stock, basically paper. Backs are blank. These could be intended to be pasted into an album.  The front has a KBO logo and the player's name on the left. The bottom says The/My First (??) Korean Series (I can't translate the character next to "1"). The player is Lee Jong-do, pictured with MBC Chungyong (Blue Dragons, which would later become the LG Twins). He played with them 1982-1984. I'm not entirely sure, but the SM on the helmet probably stands for Seoul MBC (this is definitely MBC, but I can't explain the S). Given that the bottom indicates a first series, this might be from the first season of KBO, 1982.

2019 SCC Regular Collection 2 Korean Cards

I never posted about the first regular collection, but here's the second. It's very confusing, so I'll let you read what NPB Card Guy had to say about it, and then basically paraphrase his information.

There are 200 cards in the set in all, including all of the subsets but none of the parallels. However, some players appear in more than one subset, and each player has only one card number. So the complete set is skip numbered with multiple cards for some players with the same card number - just in different subsets.
This is the regular card set. Note the card numbering: SCCR2-19/###. SCC brand, Regular 2 set, 2019, followed by the card number.
 This is the "rare" subset.
Here is the "All Star" subset. It's pretty easy to distinguish due to the border. All Star cards have a Rare parallel serial-numbered to 77 copies.
Hologram subset. This is easy to distinguish due to the hologram foil background.

One final subset is "Signature" which features facsimile foil signatures on the front.

In addition to this base set, there are two types of autographed cards, all serial-numbered to 12 copies each. The regular autograph set has 89 cards, while the red version has only 12 subjects.
Here are the backs. All of SCC's sets through this release had identical backs for each set.

A big thank you to Dan, as always, for sending these (and the cards from the past two days' posts) to me. Without him I wouldn't even know these Korean cards existed, let alone have them in my collection!

2019 SCC Premium Korean Cards

Dan sent me cards from a couple Korean sets issued last year, and here let's look at the "Premium" issue. As mentioned on NPB Card Guy's post, the set came out around August, and the premium feature is the inclusion of autographs and memorabilia.

Each team gets 22 cards spread out among the different types. However, each type doesn't have the same number of cards per team. There are no foreigners, which is usual for this set, and the entire issue is basically numbered in one run. The "Hidden Hologram" set is a parallel, though I don't have any to show you now.

There are four types aside from the parallel, and here they are:
Normal cards have white borders, and are most common.
The black bordered "rare" cards are basically short prints.
"Holo" cards have hologram foil background accents, and are further short printed.
The rarest subset is Signatures, which are foil autographs.

As you can see, this set uses the back side of the card to give a second photograph. Also, these cards have the player's name in western characters, so foreign collectors can read the names much faster. However, there are no statistics on these cards.

Overall, it's not a bad set, though it reminds me of something Onyx or TriStar might release in the US.

Korea in Japan: More Cards from Dan

Dan of Korean Cardboard and I recently traded packages, as I'd collected a few more Lee cards, and he picked up some more KBO singles. Here's my side of the exchange:
Nine team logo cards.
Eight mascot cards. One team, the Wyverns, didn't have a mascot card.
Nine team cards, featuring photos of each team on the field.

While I don't plan on collecting any major KBO sets in their entirety, I'm happy to have these cards which represent all of the teams in KBO as part of my collection. I normally wouldn't want subsets like these but for one issue it's great to have!
There were two more type cards from SMG/Ntreev in the package along with the subsets. This single is from the "Clear Card" subset from the third Baseball's Best Players set, Forever Ace. Despite its name, the card itself isn't clear.
But this one is, from the first series. Baseball's Best Players: Hell's Fireball had actual clear cards, and you can see the backs are completely blank. Sure, acetate is gimmicky, but I like it!

Thanks Dan for some great cards! I'm glad you got your package, too!

SMG/Ntreev Superstar Baseball Pack Insert Cards

It's time for an image dump.

Dan was courteous enough to send along some of the filler cards for SMG's sets with our trade package, and while I can't read Korean and don't have the patience or interest in trying to translate everything, I'll take a quick stab at some of them. If nothing else, this will serve as an archive of some of what you could find in packs.
Collecting all 10 team logos gives the entrant a chance at a special gameplay mat. This is from the Baseball's Best Players series.

These two are code cards for an online game, and you can win autographed bats.
This code card relates to the online game again; this time the back gives a chance to win an autographed ball.
 Another online code card.
 Heroes team logo version.
 Dinos team logo version.
 Wyverns team logo version.
 These are the fronts...
...and these are the backs. These two cards give you instructions on how to play the Baseball's Best Players game.

And that's all! Thanks, Dan, for sending the cards!
