Now that BBM has released all the team sets, it's time for the oddball sets to start flowing. Lions Classic has become an annual release combining retired and active players.
There are 27 cards in the set, and the first nine cards are active players. They are all shown in posed shots wearing blue throwback uniforms. The remaining 18 cards show retired players in the uniform when it was used back in the 1980s.
I'm aware of two types of inserts in the box sets. The nine active players have foil autograph cards in gold (100 copies each) and red (40 or 50 copies each), for a total of 1310 cards. I haven't seen these yet.
There are 28 hand-signed autograph subjects in the checklist, but two of those didn't sign, so there are 26 different autographed cards to chase. Print runs range from 30 to 120, with a total of 1690 autographs. As you can see in the picture above, they are sticker autographs.
