Five bucks, eighteen stacks Part 13

It took me nearly a month to go through the box, sort the cards by set, pull out my awards/leaders needs, and write up the posts.
You can see that I've been through a bunch of goodies - baseball, football, basketball, murderers... but one thing remains: 2001 Topps Archives.
The 2001 Archives set reprinted rookie, final year, and highlight/league leader cards of several major and regional stars.
There were only about 80 cards in the lot to start with.
I was able to pull 20 cards for my awards/leaders collection. Sets like these can be a goldmine for me, because they have so many cards of players that I don't see often.
I was hoping there would be more from this set than that but even 80 cards was a good find.
This set was the reason I bought the box!
Well, I hope you've enjoyed my trip through a random box of flea market cards! I'll give a follow-up tomorrow.

  1. Nicely done. I always find the random lots from garage sales/flea markets/Craigslist to be the most fun to deal with. It's like a treasure hunt!

  2. Josh: thanks! I love random lots to flip through. Thorzul's $30 lot was much better. Maybe sometime I'll get one of those.
